Title: BVP Ambush VIDEO (No bells or whistles, just high def!)
Post by: BrunsNick on April 16, 2006, 07:00:02 PM
www.brunsnick.com/ambush.avi
90 MB AVI FILE

Smaller file can be found here:

www.brunsnick.com/ambush-18mb.mpg
18 MB MPG FILE

Still getting used to the new camera and software, haven't had a chance to really explore the power of Adobe. If for some reason you have problems viewing this movie, please click this:

http://www.elecard.com/ftp/pub/mpeg/decoder/EMPG2_Dec_Strm_Pack_3_0.zip
That should solve your codec problems.

The hi-def is awesome but the Ambush is still "ho-hum"

Wow!  The video quality is superb!  The Bush looks really smooth; at least a lot smoother than my friend's Bush.  I'm really loving the smoothness and extreme high quality of the video!

SirBowlALot - if it makes any difference, the footage was taken on Sunday night. The last time the center was oiled was Friday night for the Easter No Tap tournament. I have a few shots that got outside of 7 and sailed on by.

Our lanes don't really dry up too bad, especially with the amount of open play we get. More carry down than anything else.

Look for more vids soon!

And as far as the Mac, have you tried getting Windows Media Player?

I have a Mac at home.  I'll give it a try tonight and let you know how it goes and what I did ( if anything ) to get it to work.

Even at high speed the 90 mb still took a little bit of time.

The server is usually pretty fast, but during peak hours it may slow down. I've downloaded at 600k/sec before, so 90-130 MB takes but a moment.

I took some clips of the Demolition Zone last night as well. If I have time at work today, I'll edit/upload it! Going to be pretty busy today, I'm expecting the huge shirt order to arrive today. That means I'll be filling orders and preparing for shipping tomorrow!

Download divx or an AVI codec. Search them on google.

I think in order to view the video the way it is compressed, it needs certain codecs that may not come standard. On my laptop, I had no problems. On my PC, the bigger file is fine, but I needed the codec pack from the link I posted to view the smaller file.

Definately use google, it'll work itself out.

I already have divix. but the huge file works. just skips a frame then plays 2 than skips 1...

Video looks great although I didn't like the download times either.  How about a pic of the layout on the ambush.

I was able to view the vid just fine on a Mac using two different ways.
1.  Install Flip4Mac [http://www.flip4mac.com/wmv.htm] (it's free).  This will allow you to watch wmv files and other formats directly in Quicktime.  Microsoft is going to stop supporting Window Media Player on a Mac and they actually encourage people to install this plug-in.

2   Install VLC [http://www.videolan.org] (it's free).  This is a great free video player for Linux/Mac/Windows PC.

Hope that helps.
