Title: BVP Goliath VS BVP Mammoth
Post by: J_w73 on December 31, 2008, 09:40:30 AM
I had a BVP Goliath drilled leverage and it was a beast.  Gave it to my Dad but now I wish I had it.  I can't find one anywhere. How does the Mammoth compare?
Or is there anything else that might be as good

PAP 5 1/2 and 3/8 up
16-17 mph
350-475 revs.

The Mammoth is the replacement for the Goliath.  The Mammoth should be a little stronger overall. The Mammoth I believe had a little stronger core than what the Goliath had.

The Mammoth uses Activator Particle coverstock, which is WAY more aggressive than the Goliath.

The Mammoth is a snowtire .. it is the most aggrissive, earliest hooking ball I have ever owned.

I was never a fan of the activator coverstock.. don't know if the activator particle is better...
I heard from a Brunswick rep that the Goliath is better/more hooking in oil than the mammoth.
