Avalanche Slide Arsenal Spot
« on: November 16, 2009, 11:49:57 PM »
Need your expertise with this one, received a Slide in trade and want to know where,or if it fits in my bag.
I am in need of something above my Natural and under my Furious.
Would this ball fit for the drier, yet squirty, tighter conditions. (I was looking for  Street Rod Pearl to try and match the cores of my Nat and Fur but the STP looks a lot more aggressive than this ball)
Thanks for your time and input.

I'm a 50 year old, stroker at about 17-18mph, 275-300 Rev

Your speed and rev rate are similar to mine, so FWIW, I have an Avalanche Slide drilled pin-in-palm for the conditions that you mention.  It starts up just quickly enough and gives me just enough pop to where I can play more direct when they're on the dry side of choppy.  I left mine in box finish, just to make sure it would stay reasonably clean in front.

The Slide can be sneaky strong in back, and thus IMO can be used on a wider range of conditions than the Avalanche Solid or the older blue/silver Pearl.
