This is my thing, why make a vid that is supposed to be higlighting a ball show it barely kicking out the 7 and coming up light and deflecting to the 10 pin every shot??? Yes we can speculate that if he moved in 2 boards that the shot would be flush, but thats speculation. No other highlight vid that Big B has put out shows the balls barely making it to the hole. I'll put it this way, if Ferrari were to make a commercial where it beats out a Corvette by .00001 sec only because the driver made poor shift changes, do you think the consumer would say oooh I want a Ferrari?? No, they would say I'll save the extra $$$ and get the Vette, it does the same thing.
Like I said, I am NOT saying that this ball will not be a good release, HOWEVER, I am saying that from the highlight video, I do think that this ball will go to the wayside fairly quickly because people are going to see this vid and ball comparison chart and be like oh, I can get deep just like him and the ball will be a HOOK monster and it won't all the time and they will be mad @ it just like the Goliath. Now I know that it is not Brunswicks job to show customer's where to play with certain balls but you have to realize that is what the avg customer does. And I believe that avg bowler's make up a majority of ball sales for most companies. So what would a flat shot show?? A true comparison. When marketing, you can't think that some info is common knowledge(particle balls are good for blending shots, taming backends, or heavy oil) If I saw this promo vid and had a poor foundation on bowling conditions and coverstocks, I would say well when my Mammoth isn't finshing enough for me in oil, go to the Wizard
Now we know that isn't right but not everyone does.
Ebonite put a video out for the Angular one, I believe, and it showed the same ball thrown the same line with different surfaces, now yes the lower grit ball severely outhooked the OOB ball and went wayyyy brooklyn whereas the OOB went flush, but that is how you can see what a coverstock does, or in my opinion, justly compare.
