I had a chance to try this bad boy out today on THS, medium oil. I am medium revs/speed stroker, and by no means a good bowler (I usually shoot somewhere in the 160-200 range).
This ball is like nothing else in my bag, or anything I've really seen around the alley. This ball--at least with this drilling--is all about hook, set, and roll. It goes very long and straight, then it makes the most angular turn I've seen, but maintains the same forward roll straight into to the pocket. I've been working on keeping my hand under the ball coming up and the ball maintained it's forward roll all the way to the end, despite making the very pronounced turn. Imagine straight bowling, with an end-over-end roll, but the ball making an abrupt 45 degree turn about 2/3rds way down the lane!
I started out throwing it almost straight up the second arrow and it was breaking around the 6-7 to the pocket. First game I was comparing it to my label drilled Storm T-Road Pearl, which had a much rollier reaction at the breakpoint. The C*(System)'s forward roll made for a much cleaner entry to the pocket and better carry. I don't know enough about this stuff to know if it is the ball or the drilling.
Anyway, second game I put the T-Road Pearl away and shot a 225 with the C*(System). I moved deeper and threw it over the 3rd arrow, with the same breakpoint. All I had to do was put it down and watch the ball make the most pronounced turn I've ever seen and roll straight into the pocket.
By the third game there was not enough oil for either ball. This is when I saw how much stronger the C*(System) is, out-hooking the T-Road Pearl by at least 5 boards once it hit the dry. This ball definitely needs a little oil to perform. When the lanes are toast put it away. I did that and shot a 197 with my Lane #1 Bullet to finish off the set.
What a great ball by Brunswick. I can't wait to experiment more with it. Amazing that the ball matches my fingers, thumb, and span perfectly and someone threw it away. It's almost like the bowling gods meant for me to have it!
