Arsenal Question
« on: November 25, 2009, 04:17:39 AM »
Thinking of building 3 ball brunswick set up. Fairly down and in player, 16 to 17 mph with about 325 - 350 revs. Already have a C-2.5 system coming, probably need a good solid and then a weaker pearl....Suggestions?

Weaker (not weak) pearl: Python or Rattler.

I like the Twisted Fury Solid but few people do.

Both the new balls, the Wild Card and the Diamond Back, seem logical steps upward from the C-Sys 2.5. Of course you could wait a few more weeks/months for the ______. It's coming, along with the _______. (Sorry, couldn't resist. Yes, I can.)

The new Diamondback and Wild Card are, in my opinion, the best solids released by Brunswick in years. I tweaked both of mine to 4000 micro pad and they make a more aggressive move late on the lane than anything I can remember since the Strike Zone.

The Rattler will read the lane slightly earlier, and more smoothly, than the Python. I classify it as a "control pearl reaction".

Another consideration could be the newest Avalanche (green/black). With the PK18 pearl cover it''s the best of that line due to it''s versatility and consistent reaction. Not a weak ball, just a bit more tame than the Advanced, High, and Pro performance lines. Good luck. Let me know if I can help.

I would go with the Wild Card at the top, with the C-System 2.5 in the middle, and then either the Python with a weaker/control layout or the Avalanche Slide.

I actually have an Avalanche Slide with a stronger drilling that outhooks my Python with the weaker drilling by about 5 to 7 boards overall. Both are less than my C-System 2.5.

I agree with Brunsbob..the Wild Card with a little extra surface, the C system 2.5, the Rattler, and the new pearl Avalanche Black/Green or the Slide.  Either way you can't go wrong, the slide will give you a little more push and less hook.

If you have enough ball speed or see enough oil, this is good.

Next step down has to be the new Avalanche Pearl Green/Black.
