I'm not a physicist, but I thought it was either an arcing reaction or a skid/snap reaction... what would be a "skid/snap arc"? Is this a case where they are trying to "snowball" the person with terms to make it sound better?

I think they mean skid/really hard arcing reaction.

That's my take on it too (there is some grey area between the two extremes), but by just reading the description, it seemed to be worded a little funny... as if they are trying to cover all cases. I doubt 99% of the people out there would be able to get a skid/snap reaction out of the goliath... especially with the box finish.
