Just because the span is off doesn't mean the balls are trashed.  Ask him to fix the job he botched and if he refuses, don't go back.  Bad mouth him to other people about his shotty work and his lack of customer service.  A good pro shop guy should fix the balls for no cost seeing is it was his mistake in the first place.

Take them back.  As him to re-measure the ball he copied the specs from and then check the specs of the new balls he drilled.  If they are off, ask him to correct it by slugging the thumbs free of charge.  a 1/4" is a considerable amount to mis-measure by.

Yah i look at it now... and the one ball isnt even drilled right its like drilled stright up, B is above the span.. witch i told him not to do im so ticked off and the bridge is all messed up too. the amount of material between the fingers isnt the same on both. its bascilly saying i have to get all holes pluged, and its gonna look like crap.

Take some pics and post them.

Take them back to the shop and have a talk with the pro shop guy.  Be cordial at first in hopes that he fixes or replaces your equipment.  If he doesn't budge, talk with the GM of the bowling center, (if the shop is in one).  If that doesn't work, bad word of mouth can be just as devastating as the shop burning down.

So the bridge is a bit wide?

I don't see how this translates into a long span *confused*

First of all, its up to the PSO (pro shop operator) to make the customers happy.  He/she should give suggestions and personal opinion, but ultimately the decision is up to you.  So, if you requested a specific layout and didn't get it, then that ball should be replaced.  Otherwise, you are going to have a fully plugged and redrilled ball before you even get to throw it.  Missing the span, on the other hand, is an honest mistake...especially if both balls are off by the same amount (if they are both different... then that's just sloppy work and you should look else where).  Generally a small amount can be easily fixed by either plugging and moving the thumb a little or installing a thumb slug.  If the spans are off from the ball you provided, then its up to the proshop to correct their error, free of charge...
