Using a 3.5 at Nationals

Has anyone used a 3.5 at Nationals in Team event and what surface did you use.

I had mine with me, it's drilled pin under the ring with a hole and it had 2000 surface and it read early and burned up in the mid's. I found that my pin over 2.5 rolled clean through the fronts and had good pop on the back.

Exactly what I ran into with mine. I used a Wild Card in team and a 2.5 in D/S.

Lotsa can tell me how your Wild Card was drilled. I currently have my pin over 3.5 and pin under Wild Card packed to leave this weekend.

It is pin down 5.5in from my pap and has a small deep hole 2 in down my val. It was also OOB finish.

Was thinking of laying one out like this for Nationals myself...how did it react for you?  Did you find that it smoothed out the lane from front to back?

I had a great reaction all 3 games in team. It was very smooth and still had plenty of recovery down lane.

I have my 3.5 Pin up and it was good for the first few frames of the team event, then just was too strong. Remeber your bowling with 9 other bowlers, so the lanes change quick. used my wild card(pin Under Middle) most of the time, and had great success with it during teams.

My 3.5 gave me a good look when I played inside, but when I tried playing outside it immediately went Brooklyn.
Both C-systems seemed to be great in D&S as the transition made the lanes tricky on the last 15 feet or so. My 3.5 was close to factory finish but my 2.5 was probably closer to 2000-3000. Hope this helps.
