It is a Brunswick ball, still in the pipeline, and it will become their heavy oil piece. Another, already avaibalbe option is the Twisetd Fury Solid. The TFD is for less oil, and will also take some time to hit the shops (November?)

The Maxxx Zone will be an instant favorite. If any of you owned a Strike Zone and liked it, the Maxxx is also clean through the heads, but with a bigger move late!  (I got this info. from the Great Rico.)

Mine will be drilled up tomorrow or Saturday.

okay im leaning towards the maxx zone as it does look like it has a lot of hooking potential, my pro shop has also suggested the 900 global bounty as well what would be better suited for a low rev bowler bowling from the 5 board on meduim to dry lanes most of the time there medium?????? please people let me no as wednesday i see him again and i need to inform him of what i plan to do!!!!!!1

If you play that far outside, you IMHO do not need such an oil ball at all, unless you have a crappy release. An oil ball, well, needs oil, and only on true flat sport pattrens you will find some in the 5th board area, and most of the time it is not as long as the inner part of the lanes.

Seriously, I have the impression that either your pro shop wants to sell you "another expensive ball", or that you better invest the money in a coach to improve on your release.
Because playing up the boards hardly need such an oiler - A Smash Zone with a stronger drilling, even if you have lower revs, should be enough, esp. if you call your lanes "medium" or less. The oiler is literally dead when it is half down the lane, will hardly move at all - but it is not the oily lane, just too much ball...

Just my 2 cents

dizzy is right, whether you're a high-rev or low rev bowler, Maxx zone is way too strong for med-dry lane.

My first full game with the Twisted Destruction was a 300 on Saturday night. I was playing outside on a pretty slick condition. It appears that it will handle a bit more oil than most pearls.

The Maxxx Zone with the right layout and some polish may work for you, but I agree with those who prefer pearl reactives on the drier boards so the ball isn't "spent" before it hits the pocket.

Lycan. First thing you have to figure out is why you think you need heavy oil ball. What's ur rev rate? Speed? Line ur playing?  How equipment is drilled?   You can go out and buy high end heavy oil ball but still may not hook 4 you because of above reasons. I've got high end balls, mid price and low end that all hook. Depending on oil patterns. There are a lot of balls out now that will benefit you from. If ur made of money go with ebonite or hammer. If you want aggressive ball that will last stay with brunswick. Have 2 decide if you want pearl, soild, or particle cover. Copperhead , twisted fury soild are good soilds. Fury pearl is good ball if u can get 1. Or wait 4 new soilds coming out in November. Main thing research ur style first then you will be able 2 make a good choice

The Maxxx Zone is stronger than the Ultimate Inferno, in my opinion. I will re-phrase that. It makes a bigger move late on the lane.

Go with what the Pro suggests as he "probably" knows your style and what you usually bowl on.

MC.  NOt to doubt the pro but many not saying all but few just sell a guy a ball 4 the money. Too many unknown facts to be able too tell guy which ball to choose.  DO ur homework on ur style and balls ur looking at
