Hollerin at BrunsNick or BrunsJoe on this one, (or anyone that wants to help is cool too)

Hi guys, I was looking at getting this ball from my pro shop cause they owe me a ball and the only impulse zone they have is one that the pin is about 1/2-1" away from the cg closer to 1/2 i believe. The cg is a bit out to the right. I was wondering how different would this reaction give me from one that has a 2-3" pin and the pin, cg and psa all aligned. If I get a response and it's not that big of a problem then I am going to try to go up there today after work to get it punched. It kind of looks like this

I was going to put the pin above ring finger and psa at 75 degrees. This would also put the cg in my ring finger or right above it...and I have heard that one should just ignore the cg on an asymmetrical ball but just wanted to make sure.

I see, so by drilling the fingers deep it kind of evens out the cg being so close? Also how far can you drill the finger holes in the impulse and would it hit the core or is that a big deal. I am also getting a classic and am thinking about drilling it up the same way...does that sound good? my pap is 4 3/4 right and 1/2 up. It's close to a 5" pin to pap i believe i will have to check.

The reason behind drilling the fingers deep is just so the ball is legal. With the cg that high, you still might have problems getting it legal depending on the length of your span, top weight, and how low you are willing to go with the pin. If you know in advance you'll have problems with finger weight, you might want to move the pin down a little bit, maybe even put the pin in the ring (if you're not worried about a warranty, which if you use grips or slug, the warranty is already void).

And its not a huge deal if you hit the core, but it does make some difference, raising the rg slightly i believe. Not a huge deal by any means though, you probably couldn't even tell the difference. Let us know how it works out!

What are you talking about, kicking the cg out makes the ball roll soooooooo much earlier and better

. I wish you could convince half the people on this board/in the world of that, you see so many guys that are obsessed with arguing this point and telling you that kicking the cg makes a difference.
