what are the differences between them?

Green/Black Pin is the normal Classic.
Red Pin is a blem, where the cover cured too fast and is harder, making it straighter.

I honestly don't know. But from previous posts in this forum, I've learned the following:
1. The Green Pin has the Activator cover.
2. The Red Pin has PowrKoil LS or PK 18, I don't remember which. Or maybe it's N-Control Power Boost.
3. The cover on the Black Pin is a State Secret.

The only looks you got are looks of disbelief and amusement when people see you.
PS- Why don't we start up a nice rumor that the red pin has a different core to go with that PK18? Oh say...the BVP core.
But it reacts different than other balls with that combo for sure.

SO the Classic Zone Red Pin is actually the old Rhino core with PK17 coverstock, but was covered up to say it was really PK18 Pearl with the old Combat Zone core when in reality it is Activator particle pearl with a Power Groove core? Or just stick to basics:
Green Pin = Activator pearl
Red Pin = Activator pearl cured too long
Violet = Activator pearl with different color
I think this new one they have (its Red with a shiny coversotck) might be a good one too. What color is that pin?

So, just for the record, no difference between the violet (sort of clear-smoky-black pin) and the green pin?
Having serious fun throwing the violet.
nope, there is no difference.

As was mentioned last year on this forum, the "black" pin is really a dark green pin. It was also recommended that we go by the color of the ellipse engraved around the pin to determine the model, not by the color of the pin itself.
