Too much Jose Cuervo???

Drilled a Scorchin' Inferno for one of the guys who works at my center last night and put the "Marked" CG on the center of grip vertical line about 1/2 inch above the thumb hole.  Drilled the ball.  Went to weigh it....and guess what I discovered???  1 1/8 ounce of Side weight and like no thumb weight!!!  Well I actually looked at it VERY closely at found a CG mark that wasn't colored yellow.  Hmmm, well the ball is a beast to say the least, but since Brunswick has started manufacturing or has started to divert manufacturing to Mexico is this something that we as bowling ball technicians "The guy in the pro-shop" if you want to be difficult are gonna have to put up with??  I hope not cause this version of Activator is AWESOME and I would hate to see it get messed up somehow.  One good note though....the bottle of Jose was superb thatI got with the ball.....

LMAO!!! This is so true. The guy he drilled it up for is Jon. Jon is a HIGHER rev player and basically can make a house ball look good. Well he drills it up and then Jon throws a few, then he lets me throw a couple (AWESOME roll if in the oil and off the dry, hits HARD), then takes it in the shop to weight it. Jon wanted to throw it before the weight hole. Well once he notices the side weight issue, he looks at the ball and realizes the ball is a 3 inch pin instead of a 4 to 5.5 pin. Ball still rolls good, but I honestly dont think we have seen the full potential of it. I would say they have done a pretty good job ending the inferno series with the Scorchin. I HONESTLY dont think it will be the last ball in the inferno line, but if so its a good ball to go out on.

Brunswick seems notorious for mismarked CGs sometimes. I remember my old Combat Zone Tracer was at least an inch off on marked CG.
