In search of a dry lane ball?
« on: January 16, 2009, 08:32:58 AM »
I am looking for a dry lane ball and where I can actually get straight and roll it up the boards however my issue is I have little ball speed and decent hand so everything is strong for me. I use a gravity shift as my heavy oil ball with my purple rhino pro just below that and a dull faball nail(polish knocked off) as a medium/medium lite and spare ball. I was looking at the power groove dry/r or avalanche pearl or possibly something from another company and was wondering would I be able to get any of these weak enough for my needs. For example the nail is drilled with the symbol in grip center and I can play this on a medium shot with 10 out wall from 25 to 7 and recover.

I highly reccomend the Avalanche Pearl. I love this ball. When the track starts drying up I pull it out and it strike all day long, while everyone else is running left chasing the oil.

Well I talked to my driller and we went with the av pearl with a 4l drilling  it gets good length but still turns over a little early and smooth making the reaction easy to figure out it also allows me to play 12 to 5 with ease(much easier than gutter to gutter crap) However with my 1 game I moved to the gutter and it recovered I feel this will be my new go to ball. I now want to go pick up the solid and slide now as I feel these 3 would make an awesome littke arsenal.
