Bare with my lack of technical terms. I've been bowling since I was 12, but never took the time to learn the 'ins and outs' of the game technically. I learn to adapt to whatever I'm throwing, but I dont know the technical side of things so bare with my question.
Okay here's the deal. A long time ago I was throwing a blue Rhino Urethane ball (had to be early 90's) and man that ball got the strong hook I love. A few years ago I got back into bowling and picked up an AMF Dick Webber Legacy. The ball is great, and I still use it, but its hook is much more subtle than I like. I love it for corner spares because it curves in at the right time, but in general its too subtle of a hook for my liking.
So I've been looking into new balls and from some generic stuff I've been reading online I've been looking at a few Hammers, and a Rhino PTE. The Rhino is a reactive resin ball but the reading appears that it gets much more hook than my current ball.
What would you recommend for a good strong hook ball for heavy oil. I think my Legacy will be fine for drier conditions, and I still have an ancient Hammer I've had forever that someone gave me that I use for straight balls.
Thanks for the feedback.
