Nexus & Nexus Pearl Ball Review
« on: October 24, 2011, 02:28:16 PM »
I drilled the Nexus balls about a week and a half ago. Nexus Solid #1 55/5.5/10 pin up
Nexus solid #2 45/4.75/75 pin down P4 hole
Nexus Pearl 55/4.75/75 pin down P3 hole

The Nexus Solid hooks more then any ball I've thrown in my entire career. They hook 8-10 boards more for me then Alpha Max's which I thought was a very strong ball. Nexus is in a league of its own. Most strong balls tend to slow down so much that they tend to be out of energy when they get to the pin deck. This ball is cleaner in the front of the lane then anything I have thrown in the HP category from any company and is as continuous down lane as any ball. Hard for me to believe any ball out compares hook wise to Nexus Solid. Both of the solids I drilled are usable on a variety of lane conditions. The pin up one is significantly more angular then the pin down but both cover more area then anything else in my bag by far. Im the most amazed with how long I am able to use it, and how far left I am able to go without sacrificing pin carry. This ball is an absolute must have.

Nexus Pearl for me is similar in hook potential to an Ulti Max. It is in the same category and I am able to use them on the same types of lane conditions. I have the Nexus pearl cleaner and a little longer then Ulti Max with a little more pop down lane. It behaves weaker in motion without sacrificing hook.
