CZ *light oil*

So i have a CZ, drilled pin under ring (pin-pap = 4 1/2in)45 deg layout, and im wondering what i can do to the cover to make it good for light oil.

My driller threw it on the spinner and hit it with 1000 grit yesterday, and that didnt make much of a difference. Im guessing it want to wetsand it to that grit, right?

This ball just FLIPS entirely to hard for me, it just about out hooks everything im currently throwing.

I think the Combat Zone tracer would work better than just the Combat Zone. Maybe some Finesse-it work work to help get it down the lane.

You know after thinking about it, I think CZ = Control Zone, so yes that would be a great ball on dry, with the NControl. And the core in that ball was awesome, too bad they don't make balls as good as the ones back in the late 90s.

I'm about 95% sure Moe is talking about the Classic Zone, which will be difficult to use for drier conditions.  I guess the normal answer would be to sand it to a high grit and polish the snot out of it.

Are U saying the Inferno-line, Monster/BVP-line wasn't/isn't good?

Inferno line is not very good for me, I have tried the UI, OI, and the AI. All these balls do is just flare for me and I can't carry with them. As for the Monster/BVP line, that is all I use. I have 3 Monster Bruisers that cover light oil to heavy oil and a Nemesis for when they are flooded. I don't get to use the nemesis that much. But, as you see I like 1990s technolgy with the PK18 cover stock and 1990 technology with the mushroom cores. They are able to rev up for me without the overflarring I get with the Inferno line.
Now I know I'm not like everyone else, so what works for me, most likely wont work for the next. For me, every ball company had better equipment for me back in the 1990s, and even more so in the late 90s than today.

Then again, Moe might have been refering to the Contact Zone 2.0, then maybe it would be too much for dry.

Yea, im talking about a classic zone.

I drilled it pin under to use on "fresh" conditions, but with the OOB surface it was just TOOOOO strong, and it hits dry and flips like an animal. In general most of my stuff is pin above ring or bridge, im trying to find a way to tame this ball a little.

Yea, i know there better choices for light oil, im just trying to make this ball fit a niche. The pin under is a VERY stong reacting ball for me.

I guess i will list my "arsenal" in my profile.

Edit: when i say "light" i mean more of a medium-light, not light-dry.

2 options.  Plug and redrill with a less aggressive layout. Or I would first try taking the cover up to 2000 no polish.  Go across the track and this should help tame the backend.

Yea, buying another ball is currently not an option. (im not allowing myself that option )

I have 2 that are sutable for light conditions, SlayR and Recharge. I just want to find a use for this ball, i know what my AI and my OI can do and where they fit. I need to get my Impulse sanded to a 600 grit, and it should handle heavy, but not a flood.

And i want to try and use the CZ for something, or i may redrill it, and just try a different layout. Maybe pin below bridge, see how that reacts, with the PSA in a less agressive position.

Just looking for feed back. I may take it up to 1500 grit with no polish next. See what kinda length i get from that.
