Anyone ever resurfaced one before? I remember reading that it's sanded with Trizact pads, which I have neither seen or used before. I have used a 500 abralon pad to take out some tracking, then reapplied a light coat of rough buff then hit it with a very light coat of secret sauce and it seems to react about the same as when I got it a few years ago it was used and I don't know if he ever tuned the surface.

I love this ball and would really like to freshen it up to OOB finish. My question is if I don't have Trizact pads, and don't know how to use them, is substituting Abralon a very bad thing? If so did I flub my ball up in the long run by not using Trizact and using abralon instead? What's so special about them (Trizact pads) if they're not used anymore by any company to surface their balls?

when brunswicks proactive balls first came out in 1998 they recommended the use of ordinary sandpaper as the abrasive of choice. later the use of 3M trizact pads became the preferred abrasive. one of their last particle balls, the bvp mammoth, came from the factory wetsanded 400 grit. it's possible the particles themselves were different in various balls.....maybe that's why there are different abrasives recommended. contact brunswick and see what they recommend.
