My FAVORITE Ball.
« on: September 28, 2008, 02:31:25 PM »
Hey guys, I've searched the forums with no luck of the finding the best ball in my bag.  Based on looks, it seems to be a green pearlized zone.  It has to be from the 90's, but it just absolutely kills on the lanes.  I found it on the rack, drilled pin under both fingers, and the CG straight down, decided to give it a throw.  Shot a decent 200, and kept it ever since.  For the past year, its served its purpose.  I even shot my first 300 with this ball... 12 flush in the pocket, no luck needed.  My love has been reassured this weekend when I pulled it out of my league and while I was watching everyone having trouble trying to keep the ball from going brooklyn, I only had to move 2 boards over the three games, shooting 233, 279, 246 for a 758.  Gotta love the older equipment. =D  Anyone else own one of these gems?

Combat Zone?
Both the solid and the pearl were very popular.

It doesn't have any official logo so I wouldn't know.  Its just got the zone emblem, and nothing else.  Its certainly has a weight block, unlike my zone spare ball.

Did I read this right? You're basically bummed because you can't figure out what ball you stole from the lanes????

Hilarious!

I never said I was bummed, I just couldn't show my appreciation for this ball.  And the bottom of my original post asks if anyone else happens to have one of these gems.  But yeah, it was the first link there.  This ball is a monster, even though its 11 years old now.
