Looking at some Brunswick balls.
« on: April 06, 2005, 03:34:56 PM »
Looking for 2 balls.  1 for heavy oil and one for medium.  I was thinking of getting the Ultimate Inferno for heavy and either the absolute or zone classic for mediums.  Info is in profile any suggestions/drill layouts would be greatly apprecieted.

yeah the ultimate is a great choice The abosolute would also work on med oil you may have to shine it. I have a Impluse zone that works great in med oil check it out that might work for you also.

hotshot - I have the UI and AI and use them as you intend.  Fresh oil, a little heavier, use UI.  As the oil carries down, or on less oil, use the AI.  Like them both very much.  UI will soak up oil like a sponge.  I clean both with a 1/3 Simple Green, 1/3 Alcohol, 1/3 H2O mixture.  Plus I bled the UI in the oven once and throw it out in the sun when it is hot enough.  After the oven bleed, it responded like a brand new ball.  Haven't bled the AI yet, though I did throw it outside once (didn't get a drop of oil out).  Good luck!!

UI or AI for heavier/carrydown is a definate. As far as a medium ball goes, could use any of the following:

Zone Classic
Nemesis
AI with a ton of shine
Original Inferno (shiny as well)

Drill the Heavier ball with an early rolling pattern and the medium ball for a little more length/backend (Zone and AI will prvoide plenty of backend).
