STRIKE ZONE

Please someone tell me that I am wrong. But when I thorw the SZ 15-16mph, the ball hooks nice and easy. But if I speed up to around 17.5mph the ball really snaps harder into the pocket. On the new oil pattern at the house, I am standing 15 and throwing 10 with the ball going out around 5 and coming back. But why would it snap harder the faster I threw it?

Yeah, with a ball that is designed to hook a lot and hook earlier, the faster you throw it, the more energy you store, which means a more aggressive move when that energy is used.

It could be (not definitely, though) burning up oh-so-little when you throw it slower and by speeding up, you're helping avoid that loss of energy in the heads.
