How much for an Intense Inferno?
« on: July 04, 2008, 11:24:35 AM »
How much would you pay for a used heavy 15lb Intense Inferno? Single LH drill cover in excellent condition. Span, probably around 4 1/2 maybe a little more. It has left over rubber in the two finger holes from grips torn out of it and left over tape residue from a piece of tape torn out. Let me know how much you would pay, yes I am describing one that I have and I might put it up on ebay, depending on how much someone would pay. By the way, please no joke offers like 2 cents or 5 dollars.

funny how no one thinks much of one of the best skid/snap balls probably ever made from Brunswick.

I know, this ball is incredible! I already have one drilled for me and this one is just laying around so I was going to see if anybody else wants it. If not then I'll plug it and drill it for me.

Most of the people who bought it hated it, it was extremely condition specific and easily the worst of the Inferno line. Sorry but no one is going to give you the money you want for it.

If nobody wants it that's fine, it's not like i'm going to ask $100 for a used ball. I was just seeing how much people would pay for it so I could get a base price. Sorry if I made you so mad because I wanted to get people's opinions on a price of a used ball.

FWIW I liked the ball for the skid/snap type reaction. I also thought it was one of the coolest looking balls as it went down the lane. The colors were great.

It should probably sell for around $30 + shipping if it's in good shape, because someone else is going to need to plug and re-drill it at additional expense. Our shop would probably sell it for around $60 drilled... Hope this helps.

Another FWIW:
I also liked the ball. It was meant to easily clear the heads. Most people, who didn't realize what it was for, drilled it to force a skid//flip reaction on a ball already intended to do that. So they made the over/under reaction worse. I found the ball usable in a dry house. True it wasn't very versatile but the milder and more controlled the drilling was, the better the ball reacted. When usable, it was a carry monster, like many Activator balls.

If you clean it up a bit, from your initial description, it will be a much easier sell.

I'd figure $25 - 35 PLUS shipping, depending on how much the shipping, a potentially very expensive item these days, winds up being.
