Title: Drilled up my Ultimate Inferno

I just drilled up my Ultimate Inferno tonight. I only threw it about a game or two. The lanes I believe already had 2 leagues on them, so the shot wasnt really the best to test this ball on. I dont know if it was the drill, the condition of the lanes or what, but I was suprisingly not impressed. I'll post a pic of how its drilled tomorrow, but it doesnt do near as much as I had planned.

I'll give it a couple weeks maybe, it I cant get anything out of it, I might just trade it on here. :/

i drilled mine over the weeeknd too and i didnt get the reaction i was lookin for. it was the end of the night so i think the conditions were fairly dry. the ball would hit the pocket and die or whenever it hit there wasnt thats much pin action. im wondering how can i get that pin action that everyone was talkin about. do i have to polish it if ill be on dryer lanes? will that make a difference. it was very frustrating

As Nick is trying to say, this ball needs OIL to perform.  Dry condition and this ball will burn up half way down the lane.

First off, how is it drilled? Second, it could be burning up on the dry, so I would wait to do anything until you have thrown in on a little more oil. If it still is not moving, I would scuff it up to like 800, maybe 600, give that a shot.

i dont know the specs on it but i had him to drill it to go long and arc into the pocket. it pretty much does that but it breaks to hard at the end and it seems like it just dies and slows down.

Pin 5" from PAP, MB in track.  Not that that will turn an Ultimate Inferno into a medium oil ball or anything.

I don't think anyone is taking a modern high end reactive and trying to make it hook like an 80's urethane.  That's the only true arc IMO.  I meant length and arc as opposed to snap.  I was trying to answer what I thought he asked.

Actually N_Smith, a ball can go long and ARC.  Whoever said swinging the mass into the track was exactly right.  A ball can store energy and not be flippy.  No, it wont as long as a flippier drill pattern, but "long" is a pretty broad term that was used rather loosely in the post.  By drilling it with the mass in the track, it just doesnt unload all at once at the break point, but I'm sure you already knew that.

No, lol, I meant the part about not being able to drill a ball to go long and arc...you made it sound as if it didnt exist. And as for the other part, is it POSSIBLE to drill an ultimate to be weak?!? lol
