Drilling a ZC Red Pin
« on: November 01, 2005, 05:39:49 PM »
I am getting ready to have some holes put in my ZC Red pin, and I have two questions.  First, should I just use the drill sheet for the ZC green pin?  Secondly, how much weaker than the green pin will this ball be?

Thanks,
Tyler

Principally, you can use the drilling sheet, since the ball/core dynamics are the same in any asymmetric Zone.

The coverstock itself is, compared to the green pin, VERY weak. Probably comparable to the Slay/R, definitively weaker than a Punisher. I was able to test them both (red pin & green pin), and the red pin is a true charm on dry ground if you have some hand. Smooth. In contrast to the PG Dry/R it really makes a backend move and rolls better, due to the lower RG. If you have a ZC with a reaction that you like, I'd suggest using the same drilling on the red pin and use it on broken down conditions or late shifts. The red pin can be drilled strong, since the coverstock is so weak.
