Brunswick Kid video - Vapor Zone
« on: March 19, 2006, 08:02:28 AM »
The backends weren't exactly flying; the fresh pattern starts off with medium length and medium volume and strong but not flying backends. It was after a 3-game, 5-players/team league, and by the time he got to bowl, the pattern was pretty broken down and short but the volume of oil wasn't bad. There was light carrydown as well.

Here's a pic of how his Vapor is drilled:

And Here's the vid of Brunswick Kid!:

I would start the ball a bit lower and keep the push off foot on the ground instead of "flying" at the line, though I only saw you fall off balance one or two times.  I think by lowering the ball you will slow everything down and hopefully become a bit more "on-time" and stop from pulling the ball so much.  It is late while I am watching this though and my glasses are dirty, so I will watch it again tomorrow when I am at the bowling center and can get this into BowlersMAP.

It's amazing how you finish at the line very similar to BrunsNick. You start off with the ball higher in your stance, your backswing is lower, but you end up with your leadfoot sideways and your body mannerisms look just like his. BrunsNick have you been moonlighting giving lessons?

my bad,  i should have paid more attention to your post. after a 3 game 5 player league, you should have been throwing that on 17 crossing 3rd arrow right down to 10 9.  you're right that if you moved outside it would have gone brook or worst.

Was the vid filmed at Carolier in Brunswick NJ by chance? Sure does look like it.

Nope, sorry, heheh!

This was filmed at Brunswick Zone Mississauga, in Mississauga, Ontario, Canada!  I sure would love to bowl elsewhere though, but this centre is the cheapest in my area, lol!

It's not *that* bad of a house, Dino!

Good video, and a good ball too.

Yeah, I would classify the shot as "medium" this year, 10:1 ratio. Backends certainly controllable. Although I'd disagree with you about that "slight-out-of-bounds outside 5" comment you made.

Your brother throws the ball pretty well! I'd like to see him play a little straighter to take advantage of the dry around the five-board... but that's just my preference.

Yea Dino there hasn't been an out of bounds here since........

the summer.

House has become a lot more wide open lately (unfortunately) because back at the start of September with the new oil and new house shot the place was a little more challenging.

The house isn't that bad.

Ya ... lol!  There hasn't been an out of bounds since October?  My bad ... hehe!  I'm looking forward to bowling this weekend, I doubt I can bowl any day this week.  I might come out on Thursday if I don't have a group meeting at school at like 8pm, hah!

Nice to see you guys post here!

...and Jeff, your Paradigm is a backend monster so obviously it's easy for you take advantage of that dry !
