After having success with polishing up a Mammoth I decided to order a Sidewinder from Buddies. What I'd like to find out is what layouts you guys use on yours and the reactions you get. I hope to use the Sidewinder when there isn't enough oil to use the Mammoth. I've got a Riot Zone I put a high polish on and hope to use that under the Sidewinder.

If I remember correctly, mine is about 4.5" off PAP with pin under. I removed the rough buff and keep it around 2000. It can handle as much oil as I typically see, but it usually carries better than my Mammoth.
I know you've recently rediscovered your Mammoth, but I'll bet you'll like this one as much, if not more. Mine gives me a few more boards late on the lanes, and can get through carry-down well.

Mine is 4 x 3 pin down I didn't like the ball untill I took the cover up to 2000. For me it's a great look on most all patterns that I have played on.
Hope this helps

Thanks for the suggestions. Sidewinder arrives tomorrow. The Mammoth is a 5 x 3 1/2 pin above, at 4000k. I may drill the Sidewinder with the same layout as the lower particle load should give it a little less hook and the hybrid cover should give it a little longer length than the Mammoth. Then I should have wiggle room to play with the surfaces. The particle story continues....
