Why is a name so important?
If the name
Sarge Easter grip didn't exist, no one would have cared when Nick started using it. He wanted a better reaction on the types of conditions he was seeing, so he tried something different. I'm willing to bet less than 5% of you approach his physical game. Few THB's need to reduce their rev rate or would appreciate the other "benefits" of a Sarge Easter. Most of you need all the action you can get on your walls.
Same goes for the
Rico. If Nick wanted a drilling that kept the pin far from his PAP to reduce flare, but had the pin lower and CG kicked out to read the midlane better, no one would care. Give it a name, and here come the sheep. Again, how many non regional/professionals need the type of reaction that's described? Also, as has been pointed out, the drilling has been around for a long time. But once a "nation" member gives it a name, it's the cat's meow. Brunswick states CG's don't matter, so put the pin where you want, and kick the CG where you want so you can put your all important weighthole where you want. How much simpler could it be?
As much as it sounds, I'm not trying to rile anyone up. If you want or need a specific reaction, or have a problem that needs to be addressed, ask that question. People, Brunswick faithful or otherwise, will give you the best advice they can. Don't fall into a name trap just because someone who throws 10 times the ball you do does.
