Baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!

That's sheep bleating to you slack jawed yokels.

Why is a name so important?

If the name Sarge Easter grip didn't exist, no one would have cared when Nick started using it.  He wanted a better reaction on the types of conditions he was seeing, so he tried something different.  I'm willing to bet less than 5% of you approach his physical game.  Few THB's need to reduce their rev rate or would appreciate the other "benefits" of a Sarge Easter.  Most of you need all the action you can get on your walls.

Same goes for the Rico.  If Nick wanted a drilling that kept the pin far from his PAP to reduce flare, but had the pin lower and CG kicked out to read the midlane better, no one would care.  Give it a name, and here come the sheep.  Again, how many non regional/professionals need the type of reaction that's described?  Also, as has been pointed out, the drilling has been around for a long time.  But once a "nation" member gives it a name, it's the cat's meow.  Brunswick states CG's don't matter, so put the pin where you want, and kick the CG where you want so you can put your all important weighthole where you want.  How much simpler could it be?

As much as it sounds, I'm not trying to rile anyone up.  If you want or need a specific reaction, or have a problem that needs to be addressed, ask that question.  People, Brunswick faithful or otherwise, will give you the best advice they can.  Don't fall into a name trap just because someone who throws 10 times the ball you do does.

Where's Honestly when you need him?

that and that the CG (tho it doesn't matter ) has to be within 1 inch of grip center.

who cares about rev rate, who cares if you can rev the ball 3 million rev per minute if you cannot hit the same mark twice?????
the thing about that, is when you HAVE that many revs you dont have to be as accurate.

no offense but a drill has never helped me understand this game. i personally cant stand those over revs. they dont have to work for it where i do. and im fairly text book. explain that.

As usual, I have no idea what RT is talking about.

Anyway, except for a few hijacks, this has been a fairly positive post.  My point is being made in a round about way.  If we had one or several lengthy post(s) on the subject with people trading ideas and information such as Srlunatic and The Bartender it would be great.  That's the kind of exchange of information this forum needs.  My only beef was that we had tons of meaningless one line posts from uninformed people wanting something that might be inappropriate for them just because someone "cool" on the Brunswick forum gave it a catchy name.

I may have to start a new post.  Sweetfeet has an interesting point.  Brunswick puts a lot of stock in the role of the weighthole.  I'm surprised we don't see more discussion of the proposal in this forum.  Or did I miss it buried beneath Rico posts?
