Brunswick's Smoothest Ball
« on: September 18, 2005, 02:37:44 AM »
I would like to know which one of Brunwick's ball is considered the smoothest and most predicatable. I mean like a nice midlane read and smooth, small arc. I know it depends on styles and conditions but forget that. Which ball is like that by nature on or around mediumish conditions?

OK...I only have 1 Brunswick ball in my current arsenal, but I'd have to say that it is unbelievably smooth. A Bionic Zone 1! I got the pin right below my middle finger, and it has never once snapped on the backend (when coming off my hand clean). I thought it was going to be a bit more aggressive, but it is VERY smooth. I will say this though, it seems to carry A LOT BETTER when it hits light, compared to flush shots! I mean to the point that I try to hit light with it when I throw it. Hope this helps out a bit...

PS...I know you said current (which this is), but even with it being an overseas ball, I've seen quite a few up for sale on this site. Also, if you really wanna get technical, I've seen A LOT of Viz-A-Balls thrown, and rarely ever do they snap on the backend...

You can still get OI's from bowlers paradise, but not sure if they have alot of specs to choose from. Also, that PBA ball they have, I heard was very similar to an OI.

the PBA ball IS the OI. same ball, just different colors and marketed for pro-ams. i've got one coming, and no, they dont have a lot of specs to choose from.

straight from the reply i got from them:

Hello,

We have 2-4(he's referring to pins) with anywhere from 2.2-3.5 top weight. Please let me know if there is anything else I can do for you.
Thank you,

My black Power Groove is very smooth.  Drilled like 3E on the drill sheet.

My 2E Nemesis is pretty damn smooth It doesn't seem to be a great fan of the weak backends I tend to get at one center, but it's certainly usable on most of the medium light-medium stuff I see.
