Title: DV8 misfit vs Bruns Ringer
Post by: Big Jake on December 26, 2013, 07:44:30 PM
Hello All,
What if any difference between the DV8 misfit vs Bruns Ringer? I have the Misfit and its one of my favorites but I'm interested in the Ringer (and maybe the Pearl Ringer) but I dont want to have the same ball...

Thanks for you assistance!

Hey Big Jake, you definitely won't have the same ball.  I have the Yellow and Pink Misfit and it is much more controllable downlane than my Ringers.  The Ringers are a huge reaction for the price.  I think for lighter conditions, the Misfit and the Ringer would be a great 1-2 punch.

The ringer is stronger downlane because of the pearl coverstock. The (burgundy) Ringer gets through the front of the lane and has a strong reaction to friction. The Platinum Ringer is about 2 - 4 feet longer than the original and just as strong when reading friction. Both of them are made for medium to lighter oil volumes. The misfit with a solid coverstock will have a smoother more controllable reaction on the lane. If you are looking for a ball that you can bounce off the friction, the a Ringer is a good choice.

The Burgundy Ringer would be a good complimentary ball to the Misfit.  It is stronger overall and quicker off the friction down lane.  The Platinum Ringer would be stronger down lane but may be very close in overall amount of boards covered.
