3 Brand New Releases will be announced tomorrow morning. Jan 7th..
Are you excited????
I AM!!!!!
Brunswick.....Best in the WORLD!!!
-
I'm excited, although I'm excited to get my Aura drilled and put more than 10 games on my new Meanstreak lol.
-
I doubt anything they release info on tomorrow will catch my attention as much as the DV8 Misfit Pearl...
-
Id love to see them bring the propel x cover to the Karma series. Pearl or solid or one of each.

Hmm... I stand corrected. Ringer looks nice!
-
ringer looks like the pearl ball ive been looking for....think going with brutal nightmare first ball out of bag...then versa-max..finally....ringer/yellow misfit?...
-
Ringer and Brawler look to be in the area of what I like to use most along with the original Meanstreak.
The Ringer at that price point is a garentee on my next purchase of the last 5 releases from Brunswick.
-
Now I have to decide between a Meanstreak and a Ringer as a med/light oil companion to my Wicked Siege. After a few of you guys get a chance to throw both, I'd love to hear some comments.
-
Wow!! I'm impressed with the Ringer!!! They finally get a ball stronger than the Slingshot to fill the gap that was lost when they discontinued the Damage!! Good job Brunswick!!

I'm curious how these two compare also. Meanstreak is great for it's intended purpose.

The Meanstreak Brawler really looks like a great addition to the Brunswick lineup!! I believe the Brawler and Ringer will be a great combo for people using Brunswick! They had to many gaps for my game when I was on staff and I see they made strides to fill the void for most bowlers!! Kudos to Brunswick!!

I'll post actual pics tomorrow when I get my samples. :)
Good things are going on in the Brunswick camp!
-
So I'm I hearing them correct in the Ringer video when they say the Ringer is longer and stronger then the Meanstreak?
-
Ringer is longer but NOT stronger. Will be a stepdown from the Meanstreak.

Far too many variables to definitively say it's one way or the other... as with every ball, YMMV
-
Is it going to stay at the same price point as the Karma line? They keep saying at a lower price point in the vid, so far it appears to be higher in price then the Karma line.

Kidlost, I got a chance to throw the Ringer over the weekend. It is cleaner and longer than the Meanstreak. The Ringer does corner great. Better overall ball than the any of the Karma's by far. I will say that if the pattern is completely blown apart and the Meanstreak is hitting a little flat, Ringer is the ball to go to. Then becasue it is som much cleaner than the MS, you may have to move a little left. This is due to the Ringer not loosing its axis rotation or slowing down as quickly as the MS. If you start on a fresh surface with both balls drilled the same, the Ringer will be about 2-4 boards less overall hook than the MS.

Good to hear they both fit together. Then a step down from the Ringer is the Slingshot?

I too have the ringer just a couple weaker than the Meanstreak on the fresh with "similar" layouts (5" and 5-1/2" pins 30 deg val). On the burn I have them close, but ringer is definitely longer and sharper. I was a HUGE fan of the Damage and huge fan of the Karmas when playing 5th or 6th arrow on the burn, but the Ringer is the only one that when it catches miles of hold in the middle, doesn't just back up to the pocket, it actually tips in the back.

I know I asked about the Slingshot as a step down from the Ringer. Looking at this video and reading this thread the Ringer is looking similar to my Gold Rhino Pro!
Right now I have the Aura, Meanstreak, and Versa-Max. It seems like the Ringer and Slingshot would round things out perfectly. But I wonder how much overlap I'd see between the Ringer and the GRP, which is still a great ball by today's standards.

Very nice. Thanks

Dougb, Yes the Slingshot would be a stepdown from the Ringer. You may be able to avoid buying 2 balls, if you get the Ringer and just drill it a little weaker. This way as the Versa is too much, you can move right with the Ringer and beginn chasing the oil again. If you truely see blown apart conditions, then having a Slingshot in your back pocket would not be a bad idea. Around here, I hardly see enough friction that I need to always have the Slingshot. I mainly take the Slingshot when I bowl on shorter conditions.
