My 1st brunswick equipment. :)
« on: August 12, 2006, 09:13:41 PM »
Getting a brunswick equipment soon, cause I won some vouchers. Now wondering which ball should I get?

Got some recommendation which is Scorchin' Inferno, Strike Zone, Might Zone 2(Int'l series) and also Mega Zone 2.

now interested in knowing if scorchin' is suitable for carrydown conditions on med - heavy ? thanks.

1 question that really runs in my mind for long..

how do I see the RG for a ball for brunswick website? they only state Max and Min. haa.

Anyway, I manage to sort out things and now I'm left with the choice of Mega Zone 2 and Mighty Zone 2. =)

But 1 thing tt stop me from getting the Mega Zone 2 is because it resembles my Hawg a lot. haa.

You can find the RG rating in the left side of the single ball descriptions, the green panel. Check out http://www.brunswickbowling.com/mega_Zone_H on their US website:

MEGA Zone H (Raging Red Fuze core)
RG Max: 2.555”
RG Min: 2.499”
RG Diff: 0.056”
RG Avg: 3.7 out of 10

HYPER Zone H (Inferno core)
RG Max: 2.513”
RG Min: 2.463”
RG Diff: 0.050”
RG Avg: 2.6 out of 10

You simply get the RG average when you add Min and Max and divide it by 2, or use the RG min and add half of the differential (that's where the RG diff. stems from).

The strange RG rating/conversion by Brunswick is only a rough guideline when comparing Brunswick balls. I never was able to get the further sense of it?

Cool. Thanks guys, my friend just reserved a Scorchin' for me, haa. Reserved before hand because it's the last 15lbs I can find. Guess i've to go with scorchin, my 1st brunswick and 1st inferno series. =)

Roughly the price of any scorchin' you can find online.
