Punisher Drilling
« on: August 29, 2005, 02:06:49 AM »
I had a Punisher drilled aprox 5in from my pap and 4in above the centerline with the cg straight down (3-4 in. pin).  I wanted the ball to push down the lane and make a strong move at the breakpoint.  Considering Brunswick's hook shape rating I figured it would make a sharp move.  Strangely enough it didn't.  That was my main problem, and why I got rid of the ball.  Used on a straighter line up 10 the ball would carry decent.  Once I moved inside and piched the ball trusting it to overcome its inertia and make a strong move, hit and drive I saw that the ball had no continuation or strong movement.  I would like to know if anyone has had a similar problem.  Also has anyone tried the Sahara, which has a stronger core that might just allow the N'control bowerboost to shine.

I had a punisher drilled similar.  Nice ball but a more direct line was required.  If / when i got in deep it was very over / under on any shot that was considered medium oil.  Lighter shots i could get in but the ball was actually a bit strong on those shots.

Keep it on line / more direct and you'll be fine.

My friend had a ball, the Morich Shock and Awe, drilled with a pin to pap of about 4 1/2 (and over ring) with the mb in the strong position.  He had a weight hole drilled into the cg (about 1 1/2 in. from cog) as the pro said it would increase its midlane roll.  Is this true?  If it is, would moving the pin closer to the pap, but farther above the midline and adding a weight hole in a similar location increase its length and continuation through the pins.
