I would assume the Fired up to be the more over/under of the 2, strong skid/flip pearls are generally over/under nightmares. I haven't had a problem with the Rampage, it's a little weaker then the Fired Up (which keeps it out of the those heavier patterns), and the PK18 revs up strong in the mids giving it a little more controllable backend reaction.

I agree with Charlest.

One week, someone will be asking about something smooth for a sport shot and everyone will say ball X.  A week later someone will be looking for a flip monster and everyone will say ball X again.  I'd look for specific examples, but I don't have the time right now.  In any case, I think people are quick to recommend a ball they love, whether or not it will fit the needs of the poster.

To partially answer the question, the Fired up will be snappier and the Rampage will be more versatile.  No big surprise since I would rarely call a big back end ball versatile.  Neither would be my first choice for any real oil, so I can't help at all there.

Now I feel I'm seeing some more realistic answers.

Which means that the topic is now dead.
