First game with Fury
« on: October 09, 2007, 09:34:06 PM »
Tried the fury out at league last night. 245 first game but had to put it away after that cause the oil was disappearing fast. The mix on the pins was excellent. I'm impressed. I don't know if I'll be able to use it for more than the first game but sure is a nice weapon to have in the bag.

Many of us has smoothed the cover out a bit on the Fury to make it more friendly on "league shots".  Don't be afraid to try a grey scotchbrite on the spinner with some water, or even 2000 abralon for a little more length.

The ball is versatile and can be adjusted anywhere from factory finish to pretty shiny in order to match up with the conditions you face.  Good luck.

I've got another league tonight and I'll take your advice and take it up to 2000 abralon on the spinner. I just wanted to try it in the OOB finish the first time out.

I put polish over the factory finish until nice and glossy.  Ball gets through the heads much cleaner but still reads the mids good and finishes harder now than before.

Grey SB is about 800 grit which is the oob finish on the Fury. 2000 abralon would give you the extra length

I guess that depends on the grey scotchbrite then. I just about "polished" mine with one at high speed with lots of water.  Hand pressure also has a lot to do with it.  Less pressure, less cutting.  More water, less cutting.  Higher speed, less cutting.

You're only limited by your imagination.

I took my Fury up to 1000. It lets the ball get down the lane but still has a strong back end.
