Title: First Night with the Rattler FIGJAM ALERT!!
Post by: Spider Ball Bowler on February 26, 2010, 11:53:09 PM
I had a Rattler drilled up for our City Tournament, but sadly I was mistaken on the dates, so I had my driller down state ship it to me too late to use for what would count as my All Events Score.  However, I got it in time to possibly use it for my second set of singles and doubles, which was last night.  I decided to go with the Rattler due to the Activator Cover, which is my favorite cover, from my old favorite ball the Ultimate Inferno.

I used it for the first time in Doubles and shot 231, 234, 215 -680 and liked the reaction I was seeing.  I went with a pin down below the ring layout with the cg angled out to the left w/ a small x-hole.  I left it at box surface, because I had no idea what to expect out of it

After doubles, we switched pair for singles, and we got the bad draw and had to bowl on 1 and 2.  Turned out to be a blessing in disguise.

FIGJAM ALERT:  If you don't like to hear FIGJAM stories, turn your head away now

268, 266, 279 -813.  My first ever 800 with a ball I'd never thrown before!  I won Scratch Singles and Handicap Singles (825) and a side event that cost $10 to get in, highest scratch total takes all.  Obviously I am very excited.  The last game I had the front 9 and got a little fast and smoked a 7 pin (lefty) and I thought I had to make it to shoot 800, but I didn't

I haven't been a fan of Brunswick for a long time, and mostly throw Hammer, but the Rattler enticed me with the Activator at a good price!

I just wanted to share my good news with my fellow bowlers

I've gotten away from Brunswick, but I LOVED my original Inferno, and this ball really intrigues me.

 Great shooting.

I have a friend of mine using the Rattler .. he's improved his game since using it. I wanted to try one .. almost had a deal on a USED one .. but I moved away from it .. sure looks like a good ball!

Great shooting. I just started using Brunswick equipment
this season. Great stuff they have. I have heard nothing
but positives for the Rattler. I currently have a Copperhead
and Grn/Blk Avalanche. Good Bowling

Thanks everyone!  Any ball with the Activator cover stock is a good ball in my opinion.  Greatest cover they've ever had.
