scorchin inferno not hooking up
« on: May 12, 2007, 06:03:42 PM »
recently got a scorchin to use on heavy patterns.  for some reason it will not hook very much.  i really expected it to hook a lot more than my absolute, but so far i am disappointed.  on lanes that were not fresh i was getting more reaction from my original and my absolute.  i was wondering if there is something i could try.  the guy that drills my stuff knew what i was looking for so i do  not believe it is the layout.  i play down and in (stroker), but i thought the scorchin would hook more than my ai and original.  i need something to use on heavy oil, is it possible that without enough oil that the scorchin will not react properly?

I'd have to agree with TheCrownedPrince...the symptoms you are describing sounds likes its burning up from not seening enough oil...try polishing it to around 1200 and see how that does, then you can work from there.

In my experiences with the scorchin inferno polishing makes the ball go way to long try taking the cover to 1000 to 2000 abralon.  This will just smooth the surface to get the bal to the midlane and still be smooth reacting in the backend.

Try it on a fresh shot before you adjust the cover.
