I almost saw pk19. I have seen many of the pk22 and pk24s. Plus a lot of the modified octane and activator coverstocks that have been made. I have owned a lot of the overseas stuff. Love some of the crazy cores that never really made the U.S. market

still wish I knew the name of the core in this Impact, was also in the Pro Zone Violet and Battle Zone bullet.  All 3 were winners for me!

Brunswick bring that core back anytime!

They were big beefy core with high RG and high Diff., but they don't list a name for the core on their website. I think I still have a Battle and Bullet or Cannon in a box somewhere. I've used the Big B for many years and had a lot of great rolling balls.

Tech-Line/Motiv before they started making bowling balls poured a lot of cores for Brunswick.

Getting ready to go bowl with my Battle Zone Bullet today.  Still missing my Impact zone and Pro Zone Violet with the same core!

PS it seemed like near 2.52 or 2.54 rg and .048 diff!  Worked very well!

They all were different and great just 3 different wrappers.  One with PK17 XD the Bullet, one with the rare but super PK 19 Impact and the 3rd with Particle Pro Zone Violet(some sort of MTX or something I believe.

All covered dramatically different conditions but matched up with my toss.

From Heavy oil PZ Violet to, medium Impact Zone to really dry and or really oily the battle Zone Bullet could be a winner!

JR its a losing battle.  No different then the debate on someone trying to replace a DZ and DZ2. They will argue that the blue black and blue green Karma core numbers are too different, the coverstock is too different and they "remember" this and that ect ect.

Just curious,  JustRico in your opinion or experience how much difference is there in pk17 pearl and solid, pk18 pearl and solid and pk plus if they are taken to the same surface finish?

The issue arises when players base assumptions off of their perceptions...and most only sees what works or does not work for them and base gospel off of this. The presumption between a solid and a pearl is antiquated...solids are generally dull and pearls are shiny...if the densities of the materials used are equal...it is aesthetics

This brings up an old discussion I had with my brother,  is a pearlized ball really pearlized?
Typically you'd have the solid released followed by the pearlized release which was distinguished by its appearance.

Ex Danger Zone then the Black Ice.

Later you started seeing bowling balls that appearance was "pearlized" but the coverstock was listed as a "solid".  Is the difference truly based on surface and finsh and the "look" more to do with shelf appeal and help selling a different finish on the same ball?

You see with the overseas market this is a lot more common.  Exact same core and cover with different box finish along with a different color and name in that series.

But, in reality, perception, right or wrong, is everything, not just a piece of the puzzle.
