Brunswick Rebate Question
« on: February 25, 2011, 11:07:06 PM »
I read all the fine print on the rebate offer and I still can't find a clear answer.

I bought an Alpha Max a couple weeks ago from an online pro shop, with the intent of applying the rebate. When I got the ball I noticed it is a seed ball. Is it still eligible for the rebate, or no? Only thing I found in the small print that may apply is where it states "Must be a first quality, current 'production'  purchases..."

Didn't know if it'd be eligible since it was a seed ball. Just trying to find and answer, thought maybe somebody here might be able to clarify. Box does have all the labels/upc info on it.

When you purchased the ball did it state 'seed ball'?

Also if the bar coded label is still on the box, it should be valid.

If you bought the ball in good faith I believe that Brunswick should stand by the warranty.

It wasn't listed as a seed ball when I bought it. It is clearly stamped "seed" on the sticker on the box though.

I would contact whoever you purchased from and ask them why they sent you a seed ball.....as well as how they got a seed ball....

Ask them why are they selling their seed balls, too.

Brunswick is nice enough to send them a seed ball so they will use it, and post reviews, etc. Sounds like they are really into that...

Seed balls are comped bowling balls, either by way of staff balls, giveaways, and also balls given away at the TAT tournament this month. They are not eligible for a rebate with a "SEED" stamp, so your retailer should make things right and get you another UPC label.

The ball is still fully covered under warranty, but this isn't a warranty issue. It is a retailer selling a ball that was given to them for free.
