Absolute Domination
« on: January 22, 2005, 05:53:34 AM »
What a great start for the Absolute Inferno. Here is just a sample of what happened in the round of 32 with this ball while the rest of the field was averaging around 210 during a 3 game spurt.

Parker Bohn.......279 (last 10) & 300 (22 in a row at one time)
Brad Angelo.......299 - 255 - 254
Patrick Girard ...277 - 258
Tony Reyes........278

With the exception of Reyes, all 3 went on to win their matches. As we now know, Brad and Patrick continued their winning ways and made it to the show.
I hope the conditions on TV are conducive to the Absolute so it can get some airtime.

I was there and saw parker bohn bowl and he used other stuff other then the absolute. He was using the regular inferno the most that I could tell..

Patrick Girard was also using the Classic Zone quite a bit..

The scores I mentioned above were all bowled with the Absolute. Of course, being that they have bowled for 2 days on different pairs and on lanes that tend to change drastically as the games go on, they will usually go through numerous ball changes. I hope you are not trying to imply that my information is inaccurate and misleading, for it is not.

Hey BrunsBob did you notice which Absolute Bohn was getting the best look with(of the two that are on the brunswickinsiders site)and if you watched him bowl this week did he play close to the edge like he did last week, I figured he might have hooked it a little more this week since Couch and a few other lefties did pretty well.  Also, I heard you got to spend sometime with my buddies Ric Boudreaux and Tommy Williams.  I bet you had a good time with those two fools.  They are great guys and always having a good time and a few brewz.

Thanks in advance,
Nick

BrunsBob,

I was not trying to imply anything but on Friday during match play, he was using several different balls, not only the Absolute. Thats all I was saying. I was there for 12 hours and watched all 3 rounds of match play. What he used the day before, I have no clue..

Hey Nick,

I did not see which one he was throwing but he did play in more this week. They did hook much more, Jason was way in around 3rd and 4th arrow a lot. And yes, we did have a few brewskies together.  I think they had a good trip.

jkiser,

Yes, they did throw a multitude of different balls on this pattern, I was just pointing out what had happened in a matter of 3 games, all with the Absolute. I was amazed at how many different balls were needed just to get through the 7 game qualifying blocks and the games during the matches. I know the lanes at DC West change constantly and it really showed when guys would jump from playing 5 to playing 20 in a matter of frames sometimes.

It will be interesting to see if any of the guys on the show will have to make those drastic moves during their matches. I hope the lanes are as challenging on the show as they were all week. That, to me, is much more interesting than what we got to witness last week in El Paso.
