« on: July 29, 2007, 12:44:38 PM »
Hey everyone, im looking to drop down to 15 lbs for this fall so I might as well buy some new stuff. I bowl 2 nights a week at my local house, plus travel every sunday to a diffrent tourny. At my house were bowling on brunswick synthetics on a 39 foot Ths. Every Sunday i have no clue what im going to encounter. So my question to you is what should a buy and what drillings should i use. I just want to hear some input

My stats:

High tracker
Axis is 4 1/2 over 1/2 up

--------------------
PennState 2006-2010

Fury 1. 5 1/2 x 5 pin under bridge
Fury 2. 4 x 4 pin up to the right of ring
OI 5 x 5 1/2 Shined
Banshee 6 x 5 2000 Grit

ok then. since on your travel league you're really not sure what you're getting, lets try some controllable layouts incase of sport shots

Heavy: Fury (OOB) maybe a 4.5" pin to pap below the fingers (x-hole down for heavier roll, optional)

Med. to Heavy: Pearl Fury (same layout without x-hole) can also compliment Fury on breakdown

Med.: Sidewinder (4.5" above fingers for length) this will be your money ball. particle pearl works on pretty much anything and is great for when the lanes transition

Light. to Med.: This is a tough choice. Since Power Grooves are kinda jumpy, a Pearl Avalanche should fit the bill (try 5.5-6" under to smooth out the ball, the cover will give it enough length)

If you still want to use some of the balls in your sig, go for:

Heavy: Fury #2
Med.Heavy: Fury #1 with smoother surface like 2000 or 4000 OR BVP Sidewinder or Pearl Fury (4" from pap)
Med.: OI
LightMed: Pearl Avalanche (5.5-6" under)

Hope this helps

PM me if you have any questions
