Fury Pearl TE?
« on: January 09, 2008, 12:57:43 AM »
Brunswick is pleased to introduce their newest high-performance bowling ball called the FURY PEARL TOUR EDITION.

Coverstock
Building on the success of the original Fury Pearl, the Fury Pearl Tour Edition utilizes a dry lane version of High Octane coverstock to create a ball reaction with increased length and a smoother back-end reaction

Core Technology
The Fury Pearl TE uses the original Fury’s Torsion Symmetric core system. Known for its easy revving characteristics, the Torsion Core helps the Fury Pearl TE to create great mid-lane recovery for a dry lane ball.

Reaction Characteristics
Out of the Box: With its Rough Buff finish, the Fury Pearl TE will provide more length and a smoother back-end than the original Fury Pearl, making it a good match for medium to dry lane conditions.
If your Fury Pearl Tour Edition goes too long: Rough up the surface with 1000-grit or progressively rougher abrasives. If you Fury Pearl TE still goes too long you will need to use a ball with a more aggressive coverstock, such as the original Fury Pearl.
If your Fury Pearl TE hooks too early: You will need to use a less aggressive ball such as the Power Groove Dry.

Any other info??

Wow, sounds pretty cool. They're really covering a lot of bases in the Fury line.

Sounds like what happened with the Blazing Inferno Hards, Smokin White Pin, and Classic Red Pin.  Was this batch done on purpose or just a remarketing of the harder batch.  It's funny that a weaker cover is called a tour edition on todays tour conditions where many often say that you need stronger covers to manage the higher viscosity oils and higher volumes through the fronts.

More important, what will they cost and how availivle will they be?  They'll probaly be really good for these mid-atlantic severe dry left of 10 house shots.

Haha, I already took flack in a PM for asking a legitimate question.  Stop being so sensitive people, especially if you aren't even employed or staffed by the company.  You know who you are.

Sounds like a regular fury pearl just with a compound finish. Hey why not just shine the fury pearl and use it instead of buying a new ball

I saw a more interesting, to me, Fury Pearl. Standard FP coverstock on a Quantum mushroom core (like Bruiser and Fire Quantum; no sure of exact specs) - Veddy Interesting. If it were 16 lb instead of 15 lb, I would have bought it on the spot!

I must have had the TE FP!!

The ball went dead straight on just about any type of oil, but reacted fairly well on dry.

I must have also had the TE Radical Inferno as well. It did the same thing. Skated in oil, but did well on toasty lanes.

I'm almost sorry I got rid of them..

Odd,

What weight ball did you have?

I also think I have one.  I had already decided to Rough Buff it, just have not gotten around to doing so.  Actually, I had not decided whether to Rough Buff or High Gloss.  Now I know.
