Im thinking about getting a rattler this week to complement my sidewinder reactive. I really like the sidewinder but I have a problem using that when I need to move inside because its so smooth and doesnt get enough angle to carry the corners consistently. I was thinking the rattler would handle similar oil but give me a little more angle when I move inside. Im open to any other suggestions but I would prefer to stick with brunswick.

The Rattler, for me, is the most angular Brunswick ball that I've thrown in recent memory. Due to the difference in coverstocks the Rattler should go longer before making it's strong move late. Just be sure to allow it to find SOME dry and you'll be happy.

That sounds like what I want. For me the sidewinder is money playing less angle through the front of the lane but once the oil starts to dry up and I need to move inside carry becomes and issue. I feel like there is to big of a gap between the sidewinder and my nsane, I have an issue with the nsane being to much ball and the sidewinder not being enough.

While there are others potentially that could fill that slot (Twisted Fury Destruction, polished Twisted Fury Pearl, polished Ultra ZOne, etc), I'm not sure they'll fill that slot better.

I would look more at an asymetrical ball like the twisted fury pearl, or ultra zone. Even a rampage would be a good choice. i have some instock actually in clearance.

I have kicked around the thought of getting a twisted fury because I loved mine before I got rid of it(moved up in weight), but I had an ultra zone and it just didnt seem to work for me no matter what surface I tried. I was thinking of getting a rattler because I like how the core rolls for me and I always wanted an OI but just never got one so I was thinking this would be the closest I would get to it.

yes the twisted fury destruction is great and the rattler is great too. but i use the rattler more it has great length and the just roles strongly to the pocket for me . price wise the rattler is the best ball out there.

Rattler seems to be a great choice for what you are looking for, I have a modified rico drill on mine, and it is still pretty angular, I bought it to be a step up from y Swarm with the same drill. The ball is just what I wanted, The swarm is great for down and in, but once carrydwon comes in and I have to start moving more inside, it lacks the angle on the backernd to do the job for me. The Rattler allows me to keep moving inside because of its aggressive move it has.


Performance, price, and awesome looks makes this ball a winner. Hits really hard and carries great to.
