Title: fuze igniter
Post by: killswitch66 on April 25, 2005, 04:43:18 PM
does any body have the fuze igniter? I just bought it for $125 from my local proshop, and i wanted to see what other people thought about it. The only thing i can say is that it has massive backend.

$ 125 sounds expensive... But very good ball for thin oil or when the lanes run dry, especially for high rev bowlers. Sharp reaction on dry boards, beware!

One of the most angular balls I've ever thrown. Goes long, snaps hard but needs dry boards to move.

Keep looking... I'm sure there's a 300 in one of those balls you keep buying!!

i bowled 3 games with it on dry lanes and it has a lot of hook and backend, then they guy oiled the lanes and it took me about 4 frames to get the ball to hook, but it hooked in oil

NEEDS HEAD OIL!!!!

Because this ball is so angular off of the dry, it needs head oil.

Also, on inconsistant, spotty, or carried down patterns, it will be pretty tough to control.

Ranks high on my worst ball list.. Too touchy.. It's just laying around somewhere in my apartment now..
But good luck with it.. I know of others who love theirs..

On edit: Actually shot 300 with it once, on an easy med/dry house shot.. But that was about all it had in it.. Never really found the conditions it would work on..
It got 20 games at most..

You just named the #1 reason that I got rid of mine.

It was incredibly over/under for me. At the time I was bowling almost exclusively second shift leagues too, so I never had a predictable pattern to play it on.
