Title: Genius layout for wife
Post by: themachine300 on June 11, 2014, 02:02:20 PM
Hey guys,

My wife picked up a Mastermind Genius with a 2.5" pin off Ebay for cheap and I was looking for a layout suggestion for her.  She currently uses a Karma Pink/Pearl that she really likes for medium Oil and she's looking for something stronger.  She averages about 170 so not terrible and her stats are: 4" x 5/8" up pap with lower revs, probably around 225 and medium speed, I would guess about 15 mph.  The karma is drilled pin 1" above the bridge, slight shift without a hole.  I haven't measured the exact drill specs for it.  As for the genius, I was thinking something like 4 1/2" x 3, pin up.  Not really sure as I haven't seen one go down the lane in person yet, so wasn't familiar with exactly how strong it is.

Thanks for the advice!

I think with her lower track I'd go pin down at 4.5" from PAP, and MB fairly strong (maybe 45 degrees).

You could knock a little shine off for even more contrast.  Best to you.  Let us know how she does with it.
