In 30 years you'll be too old...
« on: March 28, 2014, 07:04:54 AM »

To catch the next re-release of the LT-48.  So take a little of that tax refund and get one now, while you can.

Knocked the shine off mine just a little bit and this ball just reads the friction perfectly!  All last night I just shook my head, shot after shot, at how forgiving the ball is.  300 and 781 playing straight up the boards with this gem.  The ball made it look like I knew what I was doing. ;)

I did finally throw one bad enough to not strike in the 9th frame of game 3 and earned the "Greek Church" to break up the clean set...  But I shot at one ten pin all night, so this ball must be magical!

Seriously... You'll hate yourself for 30 more years, so pull the trigger on the Vintage LT-48 before it's too late!

Great sleeper ball. I just drilled my second yesterday.  Went with a 45 x 5 x 35 to get one that tips a little harder downlane.  I knocked the first one down with a used 2000 grit very lightly and this one with 4000 grit.  Great combo of the two as I can now switch to the pin up one as I get into 4-5th arrow.

I Second the LT-48 for sure...Drilled mine Rico and man does this ball shine on a variety of patterns...Can play straighter without any loss of energy downlane...Tried it on the 2014 Nationals Singles/Doubles pattern in a tournament in Wyoming a couple of weeks ago and had a VERY nice look without having to jump in too quickly...Also threw it on the THS at home and it shines just as well letting me play straighter throughout the set.

I haven't punched a Big B ball in a while and I am glad I did this time...People should really give this ball a chance...I can see myself with another one of these in the near future.

I have the LT-48 and hate it.No carry split split, corner pin. Now my burgundy ringer is great ! I have both drilled 4-4 -2 . The 48 goes long and spaps very angular to angular and leaves splits and corners.

Knock the shine off and you'll have a more forgiving piece.  Try around 3000.

How does this compare to the Karma Urethane? This is my current control ball and love it. Still looking to pick up another NIB 15lb to have if mine becomes damaged.

It hooks more than the Karma urethane and hits harder. Mine without the polish is not a weak ball, just very controlled and predictable.

If you had an old Danger Zone on today's conditions it would probably be real close in my estimation.

I had the LT-48 surface changed to 3000 grit. Wow much better, now it will knock out the corners. Thanks for the advice. Much better ball, Now I will keep it.

Got to see a real good local pro throwing one yesterday out of the box.

Lots of backend!  His intention for later in blocks to give him a lot of recovery and backend.  That is exactly what I saw.

As our Drilling pro at the house says..."Why are they promoting this ball as controllable for seniors?  it's too big!"

I can see Not Clay's idea of a little of the gloss off being a good working solution.

My friend drilled one yesterday, went to the lane and said "wow, this thing is strong!"

We tweaked the surface while he practiced with his other ball and it now is exactly what he wanted.  The polish can make them pretty strong late, while knocking it off makes them much more smooth and controllable.
