Diamondback Pearl
« on: March 10, 2010, 02:01:31 PM »
Just got mine in today and will drill it this weekend. Has a 2" pin with 2.4ozs top weight. Going with pin below the fingers on the center grip line with the cg just on the positive side. My PAP is 5.5" straight across. Above average revs player with 16-17mph ball speed depending on the line. 16.5-17mph playing up the right side and 16mps when I move in and start playing more boards.

Current Big B arsenal is a Avalanche Pearl on a leverage pattern weight hole on pap, Wild Thing on modified Rico, Revolution Real Speed Pro on mod Rico, Revolution Zest on Rico, Chance Zone on Rico, and a Cold Fury on a leverage pattern with weight hole in 3rd quad.

The Wild Thing and Real Speed are a great combo for me right now. The Real speed has more angle on the backends and when I lose carry with the wild thing I switch to it and it picks up the slack. Curious to see where the new ball will fit.

…… you can't  add a physics term to a bowling term and expect it to mean something.

Tempting but I just scored the last NIB 16# Vapor Zone from Bowlersdream.com so unless the specs sucketh on the VZ I'll be all fixed up for my Activator+ needs.

I had a Prime Zone with Activator + and this ball never work well for me. It even had the AI Inferno core. I loved the AI thou. Would this ball with Activator + and Rocket core be a good combination? Still looking for something less than my Diamondback solid but stronger than my Twisted Fury. Anyone else selling them?

Thanks, CaptZap

Do not get one of these......get two

Wow. Tried it during practice and looked good. Very nice break on the backend. Towards the end of the first game I was having problems with my Wild Thing and decided to try the new DBP. This ball was easily 5-7 boards stronger then my Wild Thing. I was worried how aggressive this ball may be and I shouldn't have because it is a beast. Obviously clean through the heads and very strong on the backends. Very glad I got one of these. WOW

From looking at the picture, it almost looks like that Brunswick took some old Zone Classics and stamped the Diamondback logo on it.

Not that that would be a bad thing.....
Instead of "A Future For The Sport", it really should be "A Sport Without A Future"

Isn't the new Anaconda US Release also going to have the Activator+ coverstock?

I don't think it's a Zone Classic, look again. . .

The ball has been amazing. Very smooth through the heads and non stop hook on the backend. Very impressive bowling ball. Glad I got it over the Evil Siege.

Trust me, I know it's not. Just at first glance you have to admit that both balls do look similar logo notwithstanding.

In fact, I wish it was more like the Zone Classic instead of the Absolute Inferno like others are saying.
