problems with absolute
« on: November 27, 2005, 07:04:38 PM »
i am having major problems with my absolute.i bought it used several months ago and have never really liked the reaction. i kept the same drill pattern, just moved the thumb to match mine. the drill is pin out 2 inches- pin above bridge cg under ring.  i have a satisfaxion set up this way and i love it. i have tried every type of surface prep i can think of.

please just some general ideas of possible solutions.  i realize that i may not be providing enough info for a truly in depth response. more info will be forth coming if it is needed.

thanks for the consideration.

I have mine at 2000 abralon pad with no polish, great ball now i changed it too this finish a week after buying it. Ball in box was burning up and hit like turd to be honest now goes longer and snaps back from anywhere out hooks my original inferno by 2-3 boards and still handles more oil upfront. No squirt just smooth roll up front sniffs dry and boom left, pin under ring cg out at 60 degrees about a 2 1/2 inch pin. Close to a 4 1/2 x 3 1/2 drilling would be right there give or take a 1/4 inch either way.

The Absolute will be the next ball I get. I'm sure it won't be as aggressive as everyone is saying. Not in my hand.

you get in trouble with this ball if you throw it too slow, and it takes awhile to find a consistent line to the pocket. Besides that its a great ball, (the reason for it being bad when you throw it too slow it catches very quickly on the dry and you will go through the head pin haha)
