With a clean back end, I'd put the pin above the fingers for a later reaction. This one will grab the lane as soon as you put it down. an idea that comes into my mind is a label drilling which should work on a Goliath since it is symmetric: CG in palm center, Pin above the ring finger hole ro even kicked slightly towards PAP, 4" or so.
I have a TPC Player sanded to 800 grit set up this way, and it would do a nice hook/set job on conditions you want your ball to use on. Very strong midlane read, arcing hook, but then an almost straight finish through the back end where the ball revs up and still hits hard. You will need some fresh head oil, though, but polishing the Goliath from its 400 grit OOB leaves you some room for adjustments.
