  • Former good bowler, now 3 games a week house hack.
I have 2 O.I.'s and a classic, but was thinking about trying a blazing. I have to play pretty deep and swing the O.I./classic, and I was hoping that a B.I. might let me move right and square it up a bit.

Absolutely, off the top of my head, the RG is higher and the diff is lower...

So yes, absolutely you can square up and play straigter with the BI.

The BI was supposed to be suitable for medium-dry to medium-oily conditions when it as released, while the OI was for medium to oily conditions.
Therefore, the BI got the Activator pearl coverstock like the OI, but a higher RG for a delayed reaction setup. Although the ball quikcly disappeared and got repleced by the II, the BI gets a lot of play at a local alley with a rather dry X-mas pattern with 7 dry boards to eaxh side, where the OI is way too much. The BI should be the right alternative for a straight or down-and-in shot, or in general for dryer conditions.
