Radical Inferno
« on: December 02, 2006, 01:11:58 PM »
Well, I finally decided that its time for me to try and get a Radical Inferno to see what all the fuss is about. Theres not many people in my area that use the radical inferno, I know of 1 person and shes a tweener with low revs and LOVES to play the outside line. Pretty much off the gutter over the 2nd arror and into the pocket, any ball she uses pretty much only moves 5-6 boards tops.

Ive seen a few used in my area and most say the ball is too inconsistant for them. For 1 guy he said the ball was almost too much for him to handle.

While I know the 1st batch of Radicals went out with higher rate of polish then rough buff those balls skidded for ever, so who knows. Im willing to sell off a few balls to gain a radical so I can see what all this is about.

Yes, this was a post without a point.......

Well Mike I decided to get one in the shop as well and it's very tempting. I just don;t need another pearl resin right now. When my Totals get here I may punch one of those because it is stronger than the Radical for sure.

I need a ball with length and recovery. This may be it.

Doug, you know what I use. If this suits my game/the conditions, let me know.

The Radical is considerably cleaner through the heads than the Smokin. If the heads are burnt or the shot goes into 5th arrow, the radical is a better choice than the smokin. Even my low pin Radical with a 1000 abralon finish is clean in the heads. If you are missing this in your arsenal, the Radical is the perfect ball.

As for carrydown, the Total will be better. I'll confirm once mine arrives.

I have a smokin inferno and if the radical will be a better ball then who knows, right now I dont use my smokin all that much. I just dont really see dry conditions unless im in my PBA/Sport leauges in the summer. I need to clear out some of what I havnt used I have a 2nd Vapor Zone, Intense Inferno, and Smokin Inferno that i just dont use much because either the lanes dont call for it, the ball span is too small or the ball grip is for a lefty with a lefty layout.

Well, here's a reply without a point.

Had some free time this afternoon, so I finally got out to the garage to put holes in my Radical.  I'll be bowling a tournament tomorrow, so hopefully I'll get the chance to see whether and how it complements the Red Zone and Absolute.
